So, Jon and I had quite the weekend. On Friday evening Jon covered the White Caps game, and I did some gardening. Then, on Saturday morning I assembled our composter, and did some more gardening.
Saturday afternoon and evening were our 10-year high school reunion. The afternoon was a barbeque, where we got caught up with a bunch of people, and their offspring (!!). Lots of pregnant ladies and babies around, that’s for sure. After the barbeque we met up with Laurie for dinner, then headed to the dance / main event in the evening.
I was a little nervous about the reunion, but not nearly as nervous as some of my classmates turned out to be. I must be more well-adjusted than I thought. Anyways, I got caught up with lots of people, and it was all good. It was definitely funny to see who’d gone bald, who’d gained or lost weight, and who lived where. Maybe the people who don’t have their acts together don’t show up to these things, but everyone I met seemed to be doing well.
On Sunday, I was just exhausted, having stayed up far too late at the reunion. I actually left my own wedding much earlier than I left that evening, but my wedding did start earlier. Anyways, we did some shopping, and I did a bunch more yard work. I trimmed our azalea hedges out front, and our rhododendron bushes. I could barely keep my eyes open when bedtime finally rolled around, what with the late night and the heavy labour. Next weekend promises to be a little more relaxing, thank goodness.
