Right on! I am all out of granola and will try to make some of my own.

Did you ever try out the granola bar recipe? I'd love to make my own as well.

I took your advice and made granola for the first time. My husband loved it! I loved the price :)

I got a tip to add the dried fruit to the mix after you bake it. Then you don't have to worry about the fruit burning or drying out in the oven.

I've just recently started my foray into granola, and in all the recipes I've seen, they say to leave out the dried fruit while baking. Then, take the granola out of the oven, stir, and add the fruit while it's cooling. That might solve the burned fruit problem!

In its finished form, do you end up with flat pieces? Or is already more crumbly?

Looks yummy, either way!

If you want pre-crushed nuts to save time, Famous Foods on Kingsway in Vancouver has bulk bagged nuts in many forms, including powdered, sliced, etc.
