Quick Guide to Canadian Maternity Leave

Thank you for your interest in my quick (and completely non-authoritative, but totally fun) guide to maternity leave in Canada! It’s a very pretty PDF, complete with pictures and lovely graphics and my own personal sense of style. And it is all updated for 2010! I am really rather proud of it.

Not sure if it’s the guide for you? Here is what the guide offers:

  • It explains how maternity and parental leave work in Canada.
  • It outlines who qualifies for maternity and parental benefits, and who doesn’t.
  • It includes a flow chart and links to help you plan your leave.
  • It explains when and how to apply for EI.
  • It incorporates the phrase ‘show me the money’, which really never gets old.
  • It includes some fun facts about maternity and parental leave.
