So, guess what? I am in the running in some pretty cool contests right now. I am insanely flattered and my ego is growing to immense proportions, even as I write. First off, I have been nominated for 2 (count them, 2!) Canadian Blog Awards. So my dear, dear people, I would like to ask you, pretty pretty please with sugar on top, to consider voting for me. Would you?
The first category is ‘Blog Post Series’. I have been nominated for my Mat Leave Monday series, which I am really quite happy about, since I enjoyed writing those posts immensely. To vote in that category visit the hand-dandy online ballot. Look for ‘Strocel.com: Maternity Leave’, and choose ’1st’. Or, you know, rank me based on your relative preference. Then hit the vote button, and you’re done. Easy as pie!
The second category is ‘Family’. To vote in that category visit the still handy-dandy online ballot. Look for ‘Strocel.com’, and choose ’1st’. Or, again, rank me based on your relative preference. Then hit the vote button, and you’re even more done.
As if that weren’t more than enough, I am thrilled to say that I am one of 6 finalists in the Blog to Inspire Contest . Visit the online poll to vote – my entry is Battling the Toy Catalogues. If you visited right after Bob the internet guy put this post up the poll wasn’t ready, but now it’s good to go.
And just to ensure that my self-promotion has reached truly shameless proportions, I got my kids involved. Although, really, I just like to post photos of my progeny, so I had to come up with a way to make it applicable. Thankfully, they were willing to stand still for some campaign shots.
Tomorrow, I will be bringing you a very exciting post about toilet training. I know you can’t wait! Until then, I’d appreciate your support. Or, you know, tips on how to look gracious
when if I lose. That would be good, too.
PS – Round one is over, but I made it to the final round of the Canadian Blog Awards in both categories! Thank you for your votes. If you are interested, you can vote in round two in the Family and Blog Series categories, too.
