We have a really steep staircase and so I have been trying to keep the baby away from it. Luckily my daugther's potty is right beside the bottom of the stairs and that is always way more interesting. Ryan, at 23 months, STILL loves to go bouncing down on his butt (I still run down in front of him for fear he'll somehow wipe out). And I'm notorious for making goofy sounds as sort of a movie score to such activities, so he has a frequent tendency to mimic me as he goes, "boop! boop! boop!" with every step. Silly boys. On a different subject? how do you keep carpeted steps so clean? We live in a second-floor condo with a loft, and I swear I want to rip out the carpet on the steps and replace it with hardwood because I'm so sick of trying to keep it clean. My MIL likes to teach my nieces to go down the stairs front-ways, on their butts, but that makes me nervous, in case they should suddenly decide to stand up or try to step down. So I taught all my kids to turn around and go down on their tummies, just like that. Just yesterday, Ruby did that on the slide! This age is so fun! That is too cute!
